Kyuhwa Lee

I am a NeuroAI Group Leader at Wyss Center and the Principal Investigator of an upper-limb BCI project, Synapsuit. My research develops machine learning methods for neuroinformatics and medical AI, with a focus on longitudinal neural and biomedical time-series data. I study how human state, intention, and behavior can be decoded from complex biological signals, and how these models can support reliable brain-computer interfaces, neurorehabilitation, assistive technologies, and clinical decision-making. My educational background is in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

I have previously worked as a postdoc with Prof. Grégoire Courtine, Prof. Jocelyne Bloch and Prof. José Millán at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) and Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). I was advised by Prof. Yiannis Demiris and Prof. Tae-Kyun Kim while doing my PhD at Imperial College London. Prior to my PhD, I was advised by Prof. Aaron Bobick at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Whenever I have free time, I work on music production. They can be found at SoundCloud. I occasionally take photographs, which can be found at my web gallery.
